Clapham Park Project works in partnership with a number of community groups and organisations because:
  • Many of us are doing similar work so we’re more effective if we work together not apart
  • Sharing ideas and resources helps to give communities a better service
  • Supporting individuals and groups who already have a relationship with different sections of the community means it’s easier to deliver services. It also helps those groups to become independent and to set up their own businesses

Community Groups

Many of the people we have funded have now gone on to develop and run their own projects. These include:
  • The Over-50s Social Club
  • Urban Sports Life
  • Weekenders
  • 2mannish
  • Voluntary Action Support
  • Inspiring Families Through Arts and Language

Listen to our podcasts to hear more from some of the individuals and groups that we have supported and continue to work with.

Lambeth Council

CPP works closely with the Borough of Lambeth by involving the council in our projects and keeping it informed of activities and developments. We both share our knowledge and experience of working with the local community, and CPP's direct contact with residents can help the council to make improvements to services.

Lambeth First

We also work with Lambeth’s Local Strategic Partnership (LSP), Lambeth First, which brings together organisations and communities involved in making decisions that affect the lives of Lambeth residents.

Lambeth First has asked CPP to help with action plans to improve neighbourhood working across the borough because we have a good reputation in this area. The LSP recently chose Clapham Park as a model area for neighbourhood working (together with the Southbank and Brixton), so it is keen to learn from us.

Clapham Park has also been chosen by a national panel as one of only 12 'Exemplar Sites' in the UK, which are good examples of neighbourhood team working.

Third Sector Organisations

CPP is very open to developing partnerships with other third sector organisations and working across London boroughs.

We've recently set up a Community Anchor of various community groups so we can apply for joint funding and work on projects together. We're in the process of putting together a partnership agreement and will soon be working on funding bids. If you'd like to join the anchor or find out more, email Roz Thompson or call her on 020 8670 5900.

We're happy to hear from anyone interested in partnering with us. Email Heather Chappell or call her on 020 8768 5900.

Foreign Delegations

CPP welcomes visits from overseas community organisations and academic researchers. We have hosted delegations from several different countries, including Denmark, Japan and Holland.

If you're interested in visiting us, email Heather Chappell or call her on 020 8768 5900.

Community and Youth Partnerships

Up to 15 Local Community and Voluntary Sector organisations meet every 2 months to look at ways they can work together more effectively. This network is preparing to bid for funding as a Consortium in order to sustain their activities beyond the life of the NDC.
