Support your local Charity

The Clapham Park New Deal for Communities programme will finish at the end of March 2011.

Earlier this year Clapham Park Project became a charity because we recognised that in order to continue working with residents in Clapham Park and the surrounding areas, we would need to be able to apply for funding from a range of organisations and individuals to pay for activities.

The Charity’s mission is “To help create safe, welcoming and sustainable communities whose members are able to better access the help and support they need, and develop the skills and confidence to transform their lives. We seek to help currently disadvantaged and deprived communities (and the people in them) realise their full potential.

Benefits and Debt Advice
Image

The Clapham Park Advisory Service gives residents friendly straightforward advice and information about benefit related issues and debt referral.  In just over two months we have seen over 40 people who have taken advantage of our convenient drop-in service or booked an appointment.

As well as providing advice and information on benefit related issues there were also a range of enquires that the service was able to refer to other local organisations, these include will and probate matters, building disputes, debt related issues, housing and employment tribunals.

• Supporting local school based holiday provision
• Clapham Park based sports
• Gender specific activities
• Supporting residents to attend Lambeth Summer University
