cpplogowAfter 10 years of successful community led regeneration Clapham Park Project wound down the NDC programme at the end of the March 2011. This meant that NDC projects and activities came to an end and the NDC staff team departed.

However Clapham Park Project has continued, but as a neighbourhood based charity. It is led by local residents and has employed a small staff team who are working from the CPP office at Brixton Hill Place.

From April 2011 CPP has three core objectives:

-           Supporting young people and their parents

-           Helping people find jobs

-           Developing and empowering the community

CPP continues to run a volunteering scheme and remains committed to involving local people in all aspects of its work.

The Board recognises that these are challenging times and that many people face an uncertain future.  We believe we must continue to support and assist the Clapham Park community and ensure that residents retain a strong voice.

If we can work to encourage mutual self support and community action we will be able to develop solutions to local problems and continue to improve conditions in the Clapham Park Neighbourhood.

Congratulations to Angus Johnson who was appointed Chief Executive of the new charity.

Angus, who has been Chief Executive of Clapham Park Project since 2005, took up his new post on 1st April 2011 following a rigorous external recruitment process last year.
