awardsResidents, CPP Board members, staff and representatives from partner organisations came together to celebrate CPP’s achievements at the Annual Celebration and Awards Ceremony on Friday 26th November 2010.

The event was held in the newly opened Clapham Park Centre and was hosted by Andy Sayers from Generation Radio.

Oliver Higgins, former CPP Chair was invited along as one of two guest speakers. He shared his thoughts about his time as a Chair and the challenges faced as well as the Masterplan and Stock Transfer.

Henry to Ken Floyde, Heidi Woollams, Bibi Fatuma, The youth Forum, Jerome Prince, Joey Richie, Kathryne Apiro and Luis Lopes, the awards were in recognition for outstanding commitment, dedication and achievements in several categories: Volunteering, Education and Youth, Radio, Timebanking and Crime and Community Safety.

This year, attendees also had the opportunity to win prizes in a CPP Quiz. The first prize winner was Sally Barthley of Bowie Close who won a Christmas hamper, some of the contents of which she later shared her friends at the Coffee morning. “I couldn’t believe out of all the people that entered, it was my name that was picked out. It was the first time I had ever won something so I really appreciated it and enjoyed the event-I couldn’t stop telling my friends what they had missed.”

Edith Peckham from Tierney Road walked away with the second prize, a £25 Argos Voucher whilst the third prize, a box of chocolates, went to Courtney Ladnar of Plummer Road.

The second guest speaker for the evening was Keith Hill, Former MP and Chair of Lambeth Living who spoke about his favourite NDC moments.

Award winner Ken Matthews said, "I thought the ceremony was great and I was so humbled to receive my award. It was the first time I had ever been inside the Clapham Park Centre and I really liked it. It is a true legacy for CPP."
