Page 1 of 7 No matter where we live, we all want to feel safe - whether we’re inside or outside of our home. That’s why Clapham Park Project has put so much time into tackling crime, reducing the fear of crime and dealing with anti-social behaviour in the area. We work with the following individuals and organisations to reduce crime and improve residents’ quality of life: Our partnership work in the area has been successful in: - Reducing the fear of crime
There has been a 17% reduction in residents worried about burglary (43% in 2008 compared to 60% in 2002) and a 19% reduction in residents concerned about being mugged or robbed (39% in 2008 compared to 58% in 2002)
- Reducing the number of reported crimes
There has been a 44.9% reduction in the number of reported crimes in the area since 2000. (17,420 per 100,000 people in 2000 compared to 9597 per 100,000 people in 2008)
- Reducing anti-social behaviour
Several of our projects have helped to reduce anti-social behaviour in the area. These include our Bikes Project, Connecting Generations Pilot Project, Reach In and Out Project and Wardens Service.
