- Compared to 2004, more residents eat five portions of fruit and vegetable a day every day in 2006 (from 25%to 35%). CPP’s figure is much higher than the NDC average (20%).
- Compared to 2004, residents smoking cigarettes has increased slightly in 2006 (from 27% to 31%). This is considerably lower than the NDC aggregate (37%).
- 96% of residents do some type of physical activity for at least 20 minutes, this has increased by 8% from 2004 and is 5% higher than the national average.
- Compared to 2004, fewer residents who visited their GP in the past 12 months felt it was fairly or very easy to see them in 2006 (from 78% to 74%). This figure is the same as the NDC average (74%), and lower than the national average (77%).
- Compared to 2004, more residents think that they have a long standing illness, disability or infirmity in 2006 (from 12% to 21%). This is still considerably lower than the NDC aggregate (32%) and the national average (31%).
