*Community Exercise Classes
Clapham Youth Centre, 61 Lyham Road SW2, 10am – 11am
‘Gentle exercise session tailored to suit you’. All ages and abilities welcome. Qualified exercise instructor. Exercise advice. £1.00 per session.
*Seated Exercise Classes
All Saints Church, Lyham Road, 12.30pm – 1.30pm
Seated exercise classes suitable for older persons. Qualified instructor. Call 020 7926 0761 for more information.
*Aerobics/Circuits Class
6-7pm, costs £1.50 at Clapham Park Homes, Community Resource Centre, SW4 (corner of Headlam Rd & Kings Avenue). First session FREE for residents.
*The Community and Seated Exercise Classes are closed on 12th and 26th August. There will be a weight management session on 19th August instead of the Community/Seated Exercise Classes. The evening exercise class is closed on Monday 25th August. |

Shopping Trips
10am-2.30pm
Community Development co-ordinate shopping trips for residents who are unable to access superstores such as Asda. This service provides an opportunity for residents who are mobility impaired to shop at superstores where they can take advantage of special offers. A door to door minibus service is provided. Do you want to get healthier? Whether you want one-off information or more regular support, through one-to-one sessions, then this service is for you. Health Trainers are people who have undergone NHS accredited training to support people to adopt healthier lifestyles. Diane, your local Health Trainer, can support you with having a healthier diet, looking at ways of de-stressing, becoming more active and stopping smoking and drinking less. Summer Youth Programme
Various venues within Clapham Park NDC
Clapham Park Project is hosting a variety of activities throughout the school summer break for young people living in the Clapham Park area. Activities include football, radio skills, martial arts, bike maintenance, netball, cricket, workshops and gardening, plus much more. Free walking programme with tips and advice on how to get the most out of walking, several easy led walks with other activities, lots of support from local walking ambassadors, do it yourself 12 week plan to walk your way to better health and information and advice to keep you walking. The meeting will focus on the interim arrangements for the sports pitches at Agnes Riley Gardens, Clapham Park Homes Maintenance Policy, Refuse Collection and the proposal to set up a Clapham Park Parents Forum. Representatives from Clapham Park Homes and Lambeth Streetcare team will be in attendance. The meeting will be chaired by Cllr Diana Morris.
